Project Description
In order to assist a couple revisiting the spatial design of their garden, a new deck and pergola had to seamlessly fit into the already established layers of the garden. Prioritization of quality craftsmanship and authenticity of materials resulted in the selection of Western Red Cedar for the pergola and fencing, featuring carpentry details and joinery used in traditional structures. The clear plexiglass canopy and rain-chain enables year-round, all-weather enjoyment of the space, without loss of natural light. A cedar fence was later added to the front entry for added privacy and usability of the generously proportioned front porch.
